Chrome extension privacy

Privacy for the RadioForUs Propagation browser extension. Install and overview.

What it does

The extension shows a summary of HF and VHF propagation data on your browser toolbar. It reads a public JSON feed from radioforus.co.uk — the same underlying cache used by our propagation dashboard.

Data we receive

When the extension refreshes, your browser requests /api/propagation-summary.php on our server. Our server logs may record a normal web request (IP address, user agent, time) like any other page view. We do not ask for your Discord login or staff password in the extension.

Data stored on your device

The extension may store the last propagation summary, theme, active tab, favourite HF/VHF bands, stale-warning preference, and an optional callsign locally in Chrome storage. That stays on your computer unless you remove the extension.

What we do not do

We do not sell extension data. We do not read your browsing history. We do not access passwords or payment cards through this extension.

Open source

Extension source code may be published on GitHub for community contributions. This can be found at https://github.com/null65/RFU-Propagation-Chrome-Extension.
